Getting More Exercise – Exercise
1. What are your reasons for wanting to get more exercise? Write these below. It is helpful to remind yourself of these reasons if you struggle to motivate yourself to do more exercise.
3. Decide what sort of exercise you would like to do. This can be anything from walking to rock climbing. You might need to find out what facilities are available locally.
4. Decide when you will do your exercise. It is useful to fit it into your usual routine.
5. Decide how many times a week you will exercise. We recommend 3-4 times a week.
6. Record in your activities diary every time you do exercise. Write what exactly you did. Note any progress. Describe how it made you feel. Your therapist will ask you about the exercise you’re doing.
